Fota House, Arboretum & Gardens is available to book for photographs and the location offers a wealth of great backdrops, whether it’s inside the unique elegantly decorated rooms of Fota House or outside in the spectacular world-renowned Arboretum and Gardens.
The house, gardens, and the pathways around the world-class Arboretum will offer your photographer unlimited choice of atmospheric locations.
Wedding Photography Venue Hire
Our wedding photography venue hire fee is €350 inc. VAT
Photography includes the following:
- Exclusive access for the wedding party car and five other cars (including the photographer car) through the entrance barrier down the main avenue to park at the front of the House.
- Complimentary Parking in the Main Car Park for any additional cars.
- Red Carpet & Glass of Prosecco on arrival
- Use of the stunning interior of the House including the Grand Hallway, Staircase, Ante Room & Drawing Room for photographs.
- Access from the House directly to the Arboretum & Formal Gardens for Wedding Photographs.
- The Arboretum & Gardens are currently under the care of the OPW, and a permit is required for photography however we will liaise with your photographer to advise on the application procedure for this.
- Dedicated member of staff to assist you on the day.

Supporting the Irish Heritage Trust
When you book your Wedding Photography at Fota, you will be supporting the Irish Heritage Trust, which cares for and manages Fota as part of its work to preserve and animate Ireland’s great houses and gardens. The work of the Heritage Trust includes extensive volunteering and education programmes, as well as conservation and restoration management.
