Guided tours of the House are available at 12pm & 2pm from mid-March to October with an additional tour at 3:30pm in July & August only.
The Long Gallery Gift Shop at Fota House is open 7 days a week from mid-March to September from 10.30am to 5pm each day, including Bank Holidays.
The house opens weekends only in October and is closed for tours from November to mid-March opening for our family Christmas Experience only in December.
Guided House Tours
House tours are available at 12pm & 2pm daily from Mid-March to September.
In July & August an additional tour is available at 3:30pm.
From October 1st to October 27th tours are available at 12pm & 2pm on the weekends only.
We kindly ask that visitors arrive at the Welcome Desk located in the Long Gallery at least 10 minutes ahead of the tour time. During peak season, we recommend that visitors book their guided tour in advance of their visit.

At Fota House we offer interactive tours where a group booking can step back in time and act as people who lived in the house, including doing tasks from the 1800’s – all whilst learning about the house and people who lived there. This can be adapted for both children’s groups such as school tours or Adult groups for team building, birthdays, hen parties etc. POA

Fota Arboretum & Gardens Opening Times
The Arboretum is open every day throughout the year with the following times for the formal walled gardens:
April – September: Weekdays 8:30am to 4:45pm (closing at 3:45pm on Fridays) and 11am – 5pm at weekends. Closed at weekends only October to March. Trail Maps for Adults & Children are available to purchase in our Long Gallery Gift Shop.
Our beautifully restored Victorian Working Garden is open Monday to Friday from 10.30am to 5pm and Saturday & Sundays from 12pm to 5pm. It closes from the start of October until the beginning of March.
Café at Fota House
The Café in Fota House, Arboretum & Gardens is open! We are thrilled to announce that Fota House Café is now under the expert management of Marcin and his talented team from The Food Club.
Opening Hours: Join us from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Wednesday to Sunday.
