Opening Hours & Prices

The Long Gallery Gift Shop and Bakestone Cafe at Fota House are open 7 days a week from March to September from 10.30am to 5:00pm each day, including Bank Holidays. Guided tours of the House are available at 12:00pm & 2:00pm with an additional tour at 3:30pm in July & August. The house is open weekends only in October and is closed for tours in November & January and open in December for our family Christmas Experience only

Guided House Tours

House tours are available at 12:00pm & 2:00pm daily from March to September. In July & August an additional tour is available at 3:30pm. On the weekends in October tours are available at 12:00pm & 2:00pm

We kindly ask that visitors arrive at the Welcome Desk located in the Long Gallery at least 10 minutes ahead of the tour time. During peak season, we recommend that visitors book their guided tour in advance of their visit.

Groups that are pre-booked may avail of private guided tours outside of our scheduled tour times. Please contact for further information

Fota Arboretum & Gardens Opening Times

The Arboretum is open every day throughout the year with the following times for the formal walled gardens:
April – September: Weekdays 8:30am to 4:45pm (closing at 3:45pm on Fridays) and 11am – 5pm at weekends. Closed at weekends only October to March. Trail Maps for Adults & Children are available to purchase in our Long Gallery Gift Shop.

Our beautifully restored Victorian Working Garden is open Monday to Friday from 10.30am to 5:00pm and Saturday & Sundays from 12pm to 5pm. It closes from the start of October until the beginning of March.

Bakestone Cafe at Fota House

Bakestone Café at Fota House, Arboretum & Gardens is open for delicious coffees & snacks from 10.30am to 5:00pm from March 17th to September. It is open from 11am to 4pm in October.
