Opening Hours & Prices

Fota House is open 7 days a week from March to September from 10.30am to 5pm, including Bank Holidays.

The house is closed during November in preparation for our Christmas experience and throughout the month of January. In mid-February u we are open at weekends only after which we are open 7 days a week reverting to weekends only in the month of October. Please note the house is exclusively used for our Christmas experience in December.

Guided House Tours

House tours are available at 12:00pm & 2:00pm daily from March to September. In July & August an additional tour is available at 3:30pm. On the weekends in October tours are available at 12:00pm & 2:00pm

We kindly ask that visitors arrive at the Welcome Desk at least 10 minutes ahead of the tour time. During peak season, we recommend that visitors book their guided tour in advance of their visit.

Groups that are pre-booked may avail of private weekday guided tours in February, October, and November by arrangement.

Fota Gardens Opening Times

The Arboretum is open every day throughout the year with the following times for the formal walled gardens:
April – September: Weekdays 8:30am to 4:45pm (closing at 3:45pm on Fridays) and 11am – 5pm at weekends. Closed at weekends only October to March.
Our beautifully restored Victorian Working Garden is open Monday to Friday from 10.30am to 3pm and some Sundays from 1pm to 4pm. It closes from the start of October until the beginning of March.

Bakestone Cafe

Bakestone Café at Fota House, Arboretum & Gardens is open for delicious coffees & snacks from 10.30am to 5pm from March 17th to September. It is open from 11am to 4pm in October.
