Fota House Opening Times

Fota House is open daily from 10am to 5pm with guided house tours (only) at 12 noon & 2pm. Cafe open 10am – 4pm

House Tours

We kindly ask visitors to arrive at the Welcome Desk at least 10 minutes before their tour. During peak season, we recommend that visitors book online, ahead of time or call on 021- 481 5543 to guarantee a place for their tour booking.

Fota Arboretum & Garden Opening Times

Our restored Victorian Working Garden is open Monday to Friday from 10.30am to 4:45pm and Saturday & Sunday from 12pm to 4:45pm.

The Café is open 7 days a week with opening hours being from 10am-4pm.

Closed: November to mid-March
Mid-March to Mid-September: Monday-Sunday, 10am – 4pm
Mid September: Wednesday-Sunday, 10am – 4pm
October: Weekends only, 10am – 4pm

Amazing Experience

Visited Fota house today and thoroughly enjoyed it. The guide, Vincent, was really knowledgeable and so much fun to talk to. The house and grounds are beautiful and Vincent brought them all to life. The coffee shop was great too and all the staff are really friendly. Spent the whole day there would definitely recommend if you are a fan of regency novels and that era.

A Fabulous Visit to the Foto House and Gardens

Walked around the beautiful gardens while we waited for the next scheduled tour and was amazed by the species of trees and plants growing here. Then had a very interesting tour around the house lead by our guide Rita, who answered our questions and made this a memorable day out

Delightful Afternoon

My mother and I had a charming trip to Fota House yesterday afternoon. The house is a beauty, and the guided tour added great colour and enjoyment to our visit. After a quick nibble at the cafe, we took a stroll in the gorgeous grounds. We are Cork natives but, despite our many outings to Fota Wildlife Park over the years, this was our first time to visit Fota House itself – and we’ll certainly be back.
