Join us on Saturday, 29th March from 10am-4pm for an Improvers’ Scythe Course in the stunning Fota House Victorian Working Garden! This course is perfect for anyone who’s completed a Beginners’ Scythe Course and wants to deepen their knowledge and skills.
What we will cover:-
🔹 Advice on common scything challenges you have encountered
🔹 Hands-on practice with different blades & scythe setups
🔹 Exploration of hafting angles, lift & lay of the blade
🔹 Blade care & sharpening techniques
🔹 A peening practice session
🔹 Plus, some valuable ease-of-movement tips from Ian Revins of Santosha Yoga Cork!
Instructor: Susanne Raven of Aphrodite’s Gardens

Max participants: 6 (small group for more focused attention)
Lunch: Provided 🍽️
Note: Participants must bring their own scythe and the course is focusing on the Austrian scythe only. (No sales of scythes or accessories on the day.)
