Fota House and Gardens are the centerpiece of a 19th century Anglo-Irish country estate containing a fully refurbished Great House with formal and original kitchen gardens that have been restored to their exacting former conditions. It is a magnificent location for period drama or fantasy with all the contrasting physical environments of a life past lived.
The House contains the best original examples of servants’ quarters in Ireland, the only intact wet larder with the original game carousel and a host of outbuildings and walkways set amidst one of Europe’s most renowned Arboretums. The House and its environs offer an authenticity that would be almost impossible to create elsewhere.
