Donations in the form of expertise, finance, time and artefacts are a central element of the conservation and preservation of Fota House and Gardens. The resources needed to maintain the House and protect its infrastructure are always beyond the capacity of the Irish Heritage Trust non-profit charity to acquire. Donations of money can be made at any time by contacting a member of staff or becoming a member of the Friends of Fota patronage scheme, details of which will be announced shortly.
If you have an item or artefact that you think may be appropriate to be displayed or loaned to Fota House please contact our General Manager and or Collections Co-ordinator who will provide the relevant paperwork and procedure where such offers are processed through the Irish Heritage Trust for suitability or acceptance. Please be aware that offers are declined are no reflection on the items and every offer is carefully considered. Some are just not appropriate for the current collection and interpretive framework. Initial offerings should be directed towards firstname.lastname@example.org
In the continuing efforts to provide the necessary income stream for conservation and maintenance works various events and offerings are organised at the House to realise funding. Fota is always seeking partnerships whereby individuals or firms provide assistance by sponsoring such events or exhibits. Contact should be made in the first instance to email@example.com
Medium to large scale monetary offerings provide the means by which the Irish Heritage Trust can continue to maintain Fota House in a physical condition that enables it to be handed on to future generations in a better condition that it was previously. The continuum of community access and relevance is at the centre of every project that is undertaken. If interested in supporting the long term aims of the Irish Heritage Trust to maintain and preserve this important heritage site as a valuable asset to the community at large please contact the General Manager Michael Martin at Fota House or the CEO of the Irish Heritage Trust Kevin Baird for details of larger scale projects that are awaiting resources to commence.
