The seasons at Fota: winter slowly arrives

It feels this year that winter is making a very slow advance upon the beautiful landscape at Fota. The golden colours of autumn still dominate the picture.

No matter what the season, a walk through the grounds is always uplifting and there is something new to notice.

The Twelve Months
by George Ellis (1753-1815)
Snowy, Flowy, Blowy,
Showery, Flowery, Bowery,
Hoppy, Croppy, Droppy,
Breezy, Sneezy, Freezy.

We love it and asked film maker Brian O’Glanby to capture the twelve months at Fota. Here’s the result …

At the moment, it’s still rather breezy and sneezy at Fota … will it be freezy and snowy in time for Santa?
