Fota House is available for conferences, meetings, launches or private hire for exclusive corporate events. This can be anything from a dinner for twenty people to a full day programme of events to include Fota Wildlife Park, Fota Golf Club (our adjacent championship course which held the Murphys's Open in 2001 and 2002) and tours of the arboretum & gardens are also available by prior arrangement. The maximum number we can accommodate for seated dinner is approximately 85, but we have a variety of rooms that can cater for numbers up to 400, buffet style. A feature of an evening at Fota is the exclusivity, we will not take two groups in the house on the one evening, thereby guaranteeing the customer privacy.
The prices for the standard evening which includes a tour of the house and a full banquet, start from €120 per plate (seated), entertainment, wines and drinks are extra. We have a panel of caterers that we choose from, which includes Flemings's Restaurant, Ballymaloe House, An Excellent Choice, Masterchefs and more, or we have our own catering staff which can provide this service for you. Each caterer has been vetted by Fota House and knows the high standards they must achieve to remain on our preferred list. A full wine list and bar facility is available.
Fota House can adapt itself to whatever requirements you have in mind from gracious and grand to simplicity itself - and most things in between.

The gift shop is located at the entrance to Fota House. Here you will find a selection of local and Irish souvenirs and gifts. We hope to expand the shop and look forward to sourcing more locally produced arts and crafts.
At Fota House we strive to ensure that all visitors can access our facilities with ease and comfort. The house is toured on one level, with ramp access to the kitchens and we also have disabled bathroom facilities. If we can provide any extra assistance, we are only too happy to do so. In the near future, we shall be providing car-parking facilities closer to the house, and in the meantime, we invite those who may find difficulty in walking along the avenue, to use the staff car park, at Fota House.
For those who may wish to enjoy the pleasures of eating outdoors, there are picnic tables to be found by the main car park. The Arboretum does not have picnic facilities and we ask that you leave the gardens as you have found them, so that they may continue to give pleasure to all who visit them.
There is a coach drop down and collection facility point. Coach parking in Fota Wildlife Park.
In order to ensure the best possible level of service, we would ask that groups intending to visit the house and / or tea room, would book ahead. This will enable us to prepare for your visit more effectively.
Given the special architectural importance of Fota House, we feel that it is more pleasurable for the visitor to tour the house at their own pace, so that they might experience its particular beauty more fully. To enable this, we have provided a self-guided multimedia experience whereby the visitor can access information on the house, family, gardens, restoration and architecture through a series of interactive touch panels. There are also films in the gallery, study and scullery showing how life was lived at Fota. It is, however possible for groups to book a guided tour in advance, should they so wish.
Fota House welcomes students, in particular those studying Visual Arts,
Woodwork and Home Economics. Worksheets with ideas for discussion have been
prepared for these topics. More information is available on Fota House,
Fota Estate, life in the Big House in the nineteenth century and the many
features of the restoration of the House.
A quiz sheet for 8-10 year olds is also available.
Group prices apply and advance booking is essential.
